We have an exciting opportunity in the role of Senior Accountant, covering the services of our Health and Housing Services committee. You will be responsible for revenue budget preparation, monitoring and closure of the final accounts. Additionally, you will be responsible for the capital programme across all committees, again responsible for budget preparation, monitoring and closure of the final accounts.

Excellent communication skills will be vital in the provision of sound financial guidance and in the regular meetings you will hold with a variety of officers across the council.

CIPFA qualified (or other CCAB), you will have post-qualification experience in Local Authority finance.  Excellent technical and analytical skills, as well as the ability to present and work alone or as part of a team are essential.
