We have an exciting opportunity in the role of Senior Accountant, covering the services of our Health and Housing Services committee. For these services, you will be responsible for revenue budget preparation, monitoring and closure of the final accounts. Additionally, you will be responsible for the capital programme across all committees, again responsible for budget preparation, monitoring and closure of the final accounts.

Excellent communication skills will be vital in the provision of sound financial guidance and in the regular meetings you will hold with a variety of officers across the council.

We are ideally seeking someone who is CIPFA qualified (or other CCAB). However, applications will also be considered from those in the final year of CPFA or other CCAB studies. Applications will also be considered from those who are fully qualified AAT with extensive on the job accountancy experience, and therefore qualified through experience.
