This new role offers an excellent career development opportunity. You will assist in the delivery of the Local Development plan and deal with complex major planning projects within the borough. You will also be the Project Lead Officer for Development Management on the Haweswater Aqueduct Resilience Programme. The post includes some supervisory responsibility.

You should be an excellent communicator, computer literate, able to show initiative, make decisions and apply policies. Educated to degree level, you should be a member, or eligible for membership, of the Royal Town Planning Institute and have at least two years’ experience within Development Management and/or Planning Policy within Local Government.
