Ribble Valley is a beautiful part of Lancashire with designated AONB status. It has thriving market towns and good transport links. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and experienced Environmental Health Officer to be the lead officer for food law and workplace health and safety enforcement.
As part of a multi-disciplinary team you will be responsible for inspecting major food manufacturers, approved food premises and high-risk food premises. You will also assist in the management of infectious disease outbreaks and contribute to the response to major incidents, both local and national where appropriate.
You will lead and work within a small, busy team, supporting and supervising officers in the field.
Good IT skills, a full driving licence and access to a vehicle, as well as a flexible approach to working hours are also essential.
