The proposed barn to be converted is attached to a dwelling that seems to have been renovated quite recently, and is approx. 350m outside the small settlement of West Bradford. The barn to be converted to two holiday cottages is in reasonable condition although some work will need to be done to it. The only problem with this application is with the design of the windows as they are not in keeping with the existing barn/house or area. It is also in an AONB so this is extremely important. A letter will be sent out asking for an amendment. Following a second visit with John Macholc, it is considered that the window feature is ok, as there seems to be an original barn door entrance marked out by the stones in the barn elevation. 28/07/2005 |
