Unable to gain direct access to the rear, however from a neighbours garden you can see that there is an approx. 2m high hedge separating no. 152 from no. 150. The proposal shows the demolition of the existing garage and the erection of a two storey side & rear extension, with a conservatory within the footprint of the existing garage. It is all designed to comply with Planning Guidance notes, and to match the style of the house. However there are two windows on the side elevation of the adjacent neighbours dwelling, one bathroom window, one other. There may be some loss of light but I await to see if they object. 14/07/2005 |

Following a letter of objection from the adjacent neighbours at no. 154 Pimlico Road, I visited the site again. The objectors note 2 points. Loss of light to 2 windows and affect on the street scene. The windows in question are a bathroom window and a window to what can only be described as an extension to the lounge. This window shows no signs of being for a 'habitable room', and as such the loss of light to it, which will be significant, cannot be deemed as reason enough to refuse it. Their other point regarding the affect on the street scene cannot be justfied as it will be set back from the front elevation of the existing dwelling by 2.8 m approx. which is also set back even further from the front elevation of the bungalow. 26/07/2005 |
