Site visit The site is on a winding countryside road, and the most prominant view of the dwelling from the roadside is the east elevation. The site itself has an uneven access road to the rear of the property, and there is a run down timber garage currently in disrepair to the east of the dwelling. The dwelling is shielded from the open countryside to the south by a large band of woodland, however to the north the rear elevation faces directly onto the fields. The proposal has been designed to match the existing style of the dwelling. The existing timber garage is to be replaced with a stone built garage which will fall under the PD allowance for this property as it is to be 5 metres or more from the dwelling once extended.
