Rural location in the AONB. Agricultural location. The proposal is 25m x 6m x 5m, and the materials are a timber clad with a grey slate roof. The surrounding materials in the farm are a mixture of red brick and timber clad, with pitched or flat roofs.The proposed site is not the best location as it is fully visible from the road and quite tall (5m). There is little screening and the proposal would be an incongruous feature on the landscape, especially as the area is AONB. Revised plans have been asked for which would change the layout of the building, so the front would face the road and slope down the hill; therefore reducing the impact. 05/01/2006 |
