The proposal is for a rear conservatory projecting 5.4metres from the rear elevation and measuring 3.6metres wide. The house is a terraced two storey dwelling in red brick with a large two storey rear extension. Numbers 7, 10 and 11 have a similar two storey rear extension. The area is residential, on the main road between Longridge and Ribchester. The rear garden of the applicant is large and the proposal would not look out of place in the area. There is a high fence separating the boundary between no. 9 and 10, and the conservatory wall would become the boundary separator between no. 9 and 8. There will be minimal loss of light issues due to its size and orientation. There will be minimal loss of privacy issues as there is a high fence to the boundary with no. 10 and the conservatory wall would be between no.8 and 9. The windows to the top of the wall on the boundary with no. 8 would be conditioned to be non-opening. The garden is large with a large shed to the south. There will be no detrimental impact caused to rear neighbours by the proposal. 20/01/2006 |
