Site visit The property is a two storey detached house, situated on the Brockhall Estate. It is built in red brick with a tiled pitched roof. The proposal is for a single storey rear extension which will enable and extension to the dining room. It will be 4m long, 3.8m wide and will have a pitched roof, the height being 3.5metres at the highest point. The proposal will cause minimal issues with regards to local and neighbouring amenities. There are no side windows, therefore reducing an overlooking impact to no.12. N.12 also have a gargae making up part of the boundary, reucing the impact of the extension to virtually none. The proposal is single storey and would therefore cause minimal loss of light issues. The design is acceptable being in similar materials to the existing house and having a pitched roof.
