The property is a two storey brick detached house with a tiled pitched roof. The proposal is for a single storey rear extnesion, in macthing materials to the existing and having a hipped roof. The extension would be 4.5 long 8.3m wide, making it take up the whole rear elevation. The proposl will be 4.1metres high at the highest point. There will be windows in the west side elevation, however they will be high and conditioned to be obscure glazed. Therefore there will be minimal overlooking issues. There will be minimal loss of light issues due to the proposal being single storey and there is an existing 2metre timber panel fence. The size of the proposal is large, and therfore amended plans have been requested to reduce the extension to 4m, which will make it come in line with no.2 Westfield Close. The amended plans reduced the impact, and made fit in better with the existing house and the neighbouring properties. 15/03/2006 |
