The property is a modern new build style house on a new estate. The property is detached and two storey. The proposal is for a two storey side extension and conservatory. The extension will project 4.5m and be 7.7m long. The conservatory will project 4metres from the proposed side elevation and will be 4metres wide. The proposal will have a pitched roof and will hip into the existing roof. It is set back slightly from the front elevation, therefore reducing any terracing effect. In summary I have no objections to the development. It will not cause any overlooking or loss of privacy issues, as there are no direct neighbouring properties. There will be minimal loss of light issues to neighbouring properties as it is not close to any neighbouring properties. The design is acceptable and the size is in proportion to the existing house. It will double the size of the house, but the extension will not appear out of place or cause a detrimental feature to the surrounding area. 04/04/2006 |
