Site visit The clinic is situated on the outskirts of Clitheroe in a converted end terrace house. It is built in stone with a pitched tiled roof. The proposal is for a single storey rear extension with a lean-to sloping roof. The proposal will be 3.2m long, 2.2m wide and 3.5m high at the highest point, and will enable to reception area to extend. At present, the reception area is very cramped and small, and wheel chair users would struggle turning. The proposal will have no windows in the side elevation, therefore reducing any loss of privacy. There is a commercial propoerty to the rear As the proposal is single storey, there will be minimal issues with loss of light and the proposal is not too large or overbearing in relation to the existing building. The is an existing 2metre boundary wall. The design is acceptable being matching materials to the existing building.
