Date : 27/02/2006
Site visit The proposal is to convert the existing garage into living accommodation and erect a new garage, being 5.5m x 4m. The garage will be erected to the northeast elevation of the house. There are minimal problems with this development, as there will be minimal loss of light issues to the neighbouring property, no.17, as the house is over 5metres away from the proposed development and the proposal is single storey. There will be no windows in the side of the garage therefore reducing and loss of privacy impacts. The proposal will fit in within the street scene, as it has a pitched roof similar to existing and is not too large in comparison to the existing house. There is enough space on the drive for 2 cars to park safely off the road.
