Site visit The property is an end terrace in red brick with a hipped roof. It is set in a row of terraced houses, previously belonging to the Calderstones Hospital Complex as institutional housing. The proposal is for a rear conservatory, projecting 2.4metres and being 5.1m wide. It will have a pitched bronze roof sheets and will be 3.2 metres at the highest point. The proposal has a limited impact on visual amenities, as there is an open space to the rear and only one adjoining neighbour. There is an existing outbuilding, which will obscure any view from the neighbouring property, therefore reducing loss of privacy and loss of light. The design is acceptable for its purpose and will cause minimal issues to the area.
