The property is a stone built end terrace situated in Clitheroe. The proposal is for a single storey rear extension, which will adjoin the whole side boundary with no.17. It will be 5.3m long and 2.7m wide. The existing kitchen will be demolished also, and re-built to the same size it is now, incorporating a velux window. The adjoining neighbour has a single storey extension along the whole side boundary and therefore there will be no loss of privacy or light issues. The design is acceptable, being a pitched roof and in matching materials to the existing hose. There is little amenity space left however, there is obviously an individual need for the extension, and not for the amenity space and therefore I have no objections to the proposal. 04/04/2006 |
