Site visit The location is in the AONB, and the application is for a retrospective summer house, being 3.5metres square, and 2.2metres high at the eaves to 3.6metres high at the apex. It is situated over 38metres away from the existing house at the end of the garden. It stands out as you are entering the small hamlet, and although it is slightly screened by existing trees and hedges, it does look like an incongrous feature in the countryside, and the AONB. The structure is partially glazed, and it doesn't blend well into the environment. It not not cause any overlooking or loss of privacy issues for surrounding neighbours. I feel that the deisgn and siting of the stucture is unsuitable and detrimental to the AONB and the surrounding area.
