The property is semi-detached house in Longridge. The proposal is for a two storey side extension and rear conservatory. The side extension will project 3.4m from the existing side elevation and will be 5.2m long. It is set back by 2.1m from the front elevation and will be the same height as the existing roof, with a hipped roof. The rear conservatory will be 2.9m square with a hipped roof, the maximum height being3.1m. In relation to the side extensions, there are no side windows proposed at first floor level and therefore there will be minimal loss of privacy issues. There is a door proposed to the ground floor, however this will no pose any overlooking issues. There will be minimal loss of light to the surrounding properties as there is sufficient spacing between, being the road and at least 6m between the proposed side extension and no 7. Buttermere Road. The design is acceptable as it is set back from the front elevation and has a suitably styled roof. The size is acceptable and will not dominate the street scene.In relation to the conservatory, there are no significant issues, except from the windows facing the adjoining house. The windows could pose an overlooking impact and therefore would be conditioned to be obscurely glazed. 23/06/2006 |
