The site is a large farm complex close to Knowle Green. The proposal is for 2 agricultural buildings, within the farming unit. The first building will be used to house tractors and storage materials. It will be 18.2m long and 18.2m wide. It will have a double-pitched roof, with the max height being 4.8m. It has one gable end open fronted. The second building is proposed to be a midden. It will be 9.1m wide and 13m long. The max height will be 7.2m with a pitched roof. The position of the storage building is to the north east of the site, adjoining the existing access, which is close to other existing buildings and is within the site complex. The midden is proposed to be sited on the north west side of the site, adjacent to 2 other agricultural buildings and the farm house. There are minimal issues with both proposed buildings. The designs are acceptable and as the agricultural holding is large, I see there to be a justified need for the buildings. They will not pose detrimental issues to the countryside and therefore I recommend accordingly. 19/05/2006 |
