The property is a large detached house on Lower Lane, with a detached garage. The proposal is to convert half of the garage to accommodation for a disabled person.Externally there will be minimal changes, with the replacement of the garage door with a fully glazed unit, and the insertion of 2 windows. The impact of this would cause minimal visual or neighbouring impact. The main issue to consider is the creation of separate living accommodation. As the garage is well related to the existing house, there would be no issue in the proximity of the accommodation, as it would integrate into the main dwelling. It is modest level accommodation, being a single bedroom, shower room and kitchen diner, and therefore would be used as ancillary to the main function of the existing dwelling, and comply with Policy H9. 19/07/2006 |
