Site visit The property is a detached house on Alston Lane. The proposal is for the erection of stables, in place of a dilapidated hen cabin. The size of stables is proposed to be 15.3m long, and 4.8m wide. There are proposed to be 4 stabling blocks, with the roof being pitched, eaves height of 2.4m.The size of the stables will be approximately the same size as the existing hen cabin, and will be situated on the same site. There are no neighbours in close proximity to the site; therefore there would be minimal amenity issues affected. The design and size of the stables is acceptable and would not appear too large or out of place within the locality. The stables would not increase traffic as they are being used for personal use only and there do exist stables in place within the applicant's ownership. There are only 4 stable bays proposed and therefore noise would be minimal, in comparison to the existing.
