The property is a semi-detached house in Clitheroe. The proposal is for a two storey side extension, projecting 3.1m from the existing side elevation and being 7.7m long. It is proposed to be set back from the existing elevation by 1m and the roof will follow the same roof line as existing, although will be 0.5m lower than the maximum height of the existing. The main issues to consider are the impact on neighbouring amenity and street scene. There are no windows proposed in the side elevation of the extension therefore there will be no overlooking impact. Loss of light would be insignificant, as the neighbouring property has a single storey side extension with no windows in the side elevation. The neighbouring property is also at a different orientation to no. 15, and therefore any impact would be lessened.The impact on the street scene would be negligible as there is a mixture of styles of properties, and also properties that have been previously extended similar to this dwelling. 05/07/2006 |
