The proposal is for a single storey extension to the side of the school. It is proposed to project 3.4m from the side elevation and be 6m long. The roof will follow the existing roofline, and will be pitched with the gable end facing north. The windows are proposed to be similar to the existing and the materials will be matching. The impact of the extension will be larger, however it will not form a detrimental feature. It will simply continue the line of the front elevation of the school. There will be no impact caused to neighbouring properties. The size and design is acceptable and it will not form an incongruous feature in the area. 08/08/2006 |
