The porch is proposed to project 1.7m and be 2.2m wide. It is proposed to have a pitched roof and will be 3.2m high at the apex. There are minimal issues to consider with the porch. It will not impact on neighbouring amenity, and the size and design is acceptable and in keeping with the existing house. The extension to the side of the house will project 4.4m from the original side elevation of the house, and it will be 5.3m wide. It would have a pitched roof being 4.2m high at the highest point. The side extension would cause no neighbouring issues of significance. The design is in keeping with the existing house, being a similar pitch to the roof and having matching windows. It will appear more aesthetically pleasing than the existing side extension. The rear extension is proposed to be a mono-pitch roof following the existing pitch of the roof. It will be 10m long and will project 5.1m from the rear elevation, becoming level with the neighbouring rear extension. There are velux lights proposed in the cat slide roof. There is a utility room proposed to the side of the extension, which will be a pitched roof, following the same pitch as the mono-pitch. There will be no neighbouring impact as the neighbouring property has a rear extension projecting the same length as the proposed. The design is acceptable and in keeping with the existing house and the surrounding area. It does not appear incongruous, and it would compliment the existing house, being a traditional design causing minimal impact. The size is acceptable, although substantial it will not cause a detrimental impact. 16/08/2006 |
