Site visit The property is a two storey semi-detached house in Whalley. The proposal is for an extension to an existing single storey extension and a carport. The proposed extension will project 1m from the existing side elevation and will be 3.8m long, with a sloping roof. There will be a change in the roof of the existing single storey extension where by the pitch will change direction, so the gable will face east rather than south. The carport will be adjoined to the existing single storey extension and will project 2.8 and will be 5.5m wide. There will be minimal neighbouring impacts from the proposals. The neighbouring property has a single storey extension to the side, however the windows are obscure glazed and the impact would be negligible anyway. The designs of the proposals are acceptable.
