The property is a detached true bungalow. The proposal is to extend the property at the rear with a single storey extension with a pitched roof, being 4.8x4m. The roof will follow the pitch of the existing house, until it reaches its max point at 4.8m. There are 3 dormers proposed to the roof of the house, all being flat roofed. The single storey extension would cause minimal impact. There would be negligible neighbouring impact and the size and design is acceptable. The proposed dormers will also cause minimal impact. The design in acceptable as there are other houses within the street that have similar styled dormers. Each dormer is quite small and would not over dominate the roof. The dormer facing south will be conditioned to be obscure glazed to reduce any overlooking impact into the neighbouring garden. 18/10/2006 |
