The proposal is for the external illumination of a projecting sign at William Houghton Funeral Directors. The sign is lit with Edwardian style lanterns lights, which illuminate the sign at night. There are minimal issues to consider with this application. There are no close residential properties, which will be affected by the lighting. The design is acceptable and complies with Policy S14. There is no detrimental impact caused by the illumination and in my opinion, the proposal would enhance the frontage of the building. 20/11/2006 |
