End terrace with large gap between this terrace and the next. Therefore little loss of light to the neighbour to the side. Possibly some mutual overlooking to the rear and to the side from new windows but little worse than existing situation. There is an access track between 12 and 14 so 14 already suffers some loss of privacy and they have a blind on their gf side window. Design and scale in keeping but not set back. Looks like the lamppost would have to be relocated. Set back probably not needed as would be against terrace pattern so flush extension preferable in this instance. Apparently County Surveyor advised at pre-app stage that set back of 1.5m needed for visibility reasons but there is an existing 2m high stone wall on boundary so extension would be no worse than existing situation. 11/01/2007 |
