The property is a detached house in Read. The proposal is for a first floor extension over the existing garage and a single storey extension to the rear. The proposal follows the SPG - "Extensions and Alterations to Dwellings" by setting the front elevation of the extension back from the front elevation of the house and being in keeping with the existing house. There would be minimal neighbouring impacts as there as no windows proposed in the side elevation and there would be minimal loss of light. The size and design is acceptable and there would be no detrimental impact caused on the street scene by the implementation of this scheme. Many other properties in the street have carried out similar extensions. The single storey extension to the rear would cause minimal impacts. There would be no neighbouring impacts of significance caused and the size and design is acceptable. 02/02/2007 |
