Site visit The property is a terraced two storey house. The proposal is for a two storey rear extension, projecting 2.6m and being 2.9m wide. It is proposed to have a pitched roof with a gable end facing to the rear garden, being 5.7m high at the maximum point. The proposed extension would cause no significant neighbouring issues. After carrying out the BRE 45° Rule, there would be loss of light to the neighbouring property's ground floor window, however the neighbouring property has a two storey rear extension which cuts out a substantial loss of light to their ground floor window. No. 3 has an existing ground floor extension that cuts out light to the neighbour's window, and the implementation of the first floor extension, in my opinion would not significantly reduce light more than the existing structures do already. There would be no loss of privacy issues due to there being no windows in the side elevationThe size is acceptable and the design would fit in with the existing house.
