The property is a detached two storey house. The proposal is for a two storey rear extension, projecting 3.6m and being 3.5m wide, and for a single storey extension projecting 3.6m and being 6.3m wide. The two storey extension is proposed to have a pitched roof with a gable end facing to the rear garden, being 6.5m high at the maximum point. The single storey extension is proposed to have a sloping roof, being 3.5m high at the maximum point. The proposed extension would cause no significant neighbouring issues due to its location and the proximity of the neighbours. The two storey element is situated away from the neighbouring property and therefore loss of light would be minimal. There is a new window proposed in the dinging room, which could cause some loss of privacy as it faces the neighbouring property. However there is 2m timber panel fence is situ which would reduce any loss of privacy and therefore the window is acceptable. The size is acceptable and the design would fit in with the existing house. 12/03/2007 |
