The property is a detached two storey house at Brockhalls. The proposal is for a first floor side extension over the existing garage. It is proposed to project 2.7m from the side elevation and will be 8.5m long. It is proposed to be flush with the front elevation of the house, having a hipped roof that will match the existing. The garage at ground floor is set forward with a canopy that overhangs the entrance. There would be minimal neighbouring impact due to the location of the development, i.e. being over the existing garage. The adjacent property is a bungalow, and therefore there would be minimal overlooking or loss of light issues, due to height of the property and the boundary treatments in place. The size and design is acceptable and would form no detrimental impact to the street scene or the existing house. 03/04/2007 |
