The property is a detached house in West Bradford. The property was converted from a coach house in 1986. However the conversion was not sympathetic to its character or style and many of the original features were not kept. The property shows no signs of being a converted property and previous extensions have been approved to the property which would not normally have been, had the property been of sympathetic conversion. The proposal is for a first floor extension over the existing previously approved extension. It is proposed to have a pitched roof, and will be 6.8m high at the apex. The proposal follows the SPG - "Extensions and Alterations to Dwellings" by setting the front elevation of the extension back from the front elevation of the house and being in keeping with the existing house. There would be minimal neighbouring impacts as there as no windows proposed in the side elevation and there would be minimal loss of light. The size and design is acceptable and there would be no detrimental impact caused on the street scene by the implementation of this scheme. 21/03/2007 |
