The property is a detached bungalow in Clitheroe. The proposal is for an extension to the side and rear of the property. Currently, there is a flat roof garage to the side of the house. Last year, an application was approved to extend the side of the house and build a detached garage in the rear garden. This resubmission proposes one extension to the house. It is proposed to project 4m from the existing side elevation, and continue to the roof line, being pitched. It is proposed to be set 1m off the side boundary, with an extension to the rear projecting 5.5m from the existing rear elevation. This proposal would cause less neighbouring impact that the previous application approved in July. In my opinion it is better designed and would fit in much better with the exiting house.The design is acceptable and would be an improvement to the flat roof extensions. The size is acceptable and it would not form an over development of the site. 25/04/2007 |
