Site visit The property is a semi detached two storey house. The proposal is for a single storey rear/side extension, projecting 3.6m from the rear elevation and 1.7m from the side elevation. It is proposed to be 4.2m wide at the rear and 2.9m long on the side elevation/ The rear is proposed to have a pitched roof, with a gable facing the rear garden and the side extension is proposed to have a sloping roof being 3.2m high at the highest point. There would be minimal neighbouring issues, due to the extension being single storey, the distance between the properties and the existing boundary treatments. The window proposed in the side elevation of the bathroom would be conditioned to be obscure glazed. The size and design is acceptable, and there would be no detrimental impact caused to the existing house or street scene.
