Site visit |
The property is a semi-detached house. The proposals for a single storey garage extension, projecting 3.2m from the existing side extension and being 6.4m long. As the site is on an angle, the rear of the garage will be 6.9m wide. Is it proposed to have a flat roof in glass fibre profiled sheets. There would be minimal neighbouring impact due to the location of the neighbours. The main issues are the design and size of the garage. It would not have a significant impact on the street scene as it is in the corner of the street and is well screened by existing 3m high conifers. The design is acceptable, as it would replace a structure that is currently in a dilapidated state. The size would not cause serious issues as it will not be greatly larger than the existing and would cause no detrimental impact. 31/05/2007 |
