Two storey extension at the rear. Little impact on the street scene as the extension will not be readily visible from the road. In any event, the design is sympathetic to the original house. Main consideration is impact on neighbours. Due to size, I think it would overshadow no.4 Hornby Road and have an overbearing impact on that dwelling and its rear garden. That property has a side window (to a kitchen) in its rear extension which would be especially affected as it is only a few metres away from the proposal. Both adjacent properties have single storey extensions at the rear. Had a second look at this one on 21 July 2004 when I happened to be in the Longridge area. The kitchen window likely to be affected is about 15 feet away which seems sufficiently far away. 05/07/2004 |
