A public footpath runs straight through the farm, past the front elevation of the building. The replacement building, which the farmer assures me is the same size as the previous, is sympathetic to its surroundings being of a pitched roof construction following the line of the attached barn (but being set down from this) and built of natural stone and blue slate. I could envisage a situation in the future where they may want to convert it to a dwelling although this would require planning permission. 27/07/2004 |
