Site visit Design of extension seems appropriate and as it is at the rear of the row there will be no impact on the street scene. The extension would alter the character of the terrace as no other property has been extended in this fashion. Some impact on neighbouring properties in terms of loss of light. It is worth testing against the BRE 45 degree test - the adjacent neighbouring windows which would be affected serve kitchens though.
