Two storey semi-detached house in pebble dash render with a blue slate hipped roof. The proposal is to demolish two existing out houses and build a single storey rear extension with a pitched roof in its place. The proposal will measure 5.5 metres wide by 5.5 metres long. The adjacent property (no.13) has an existing single storey rear extension along the boundary that will run parallel with the proposal. No. 17 has a single storey rear extension approx 4 metres high. It has a small window on the side elevation. Windows are proposed in the northern side elevation, facing no. 17. There is adequate distance and an existing hedge for this impact to be minimal; and there is only a small window in the side elvation of no.17. The size of the proposal and design is acceptable and will cause no detrimental issues. It will considerably improve what is exisitng. There is no significant loss of light impact to the surrounding residents. 18/01/2006 |
