Residential area comprising of mainly semi detached two storey houses. No. 22 Warwick Drive is of similar style with a stone facia to the ground floor front elevation and pebbledash render to the rest of the house. The visual impact of the proposal will be minimal. Many other houses in the street have extended in different ways. No.20 has a similar extension to the proposal, with a first floor obscure glazed window to the side elevation. The proposal would match no. 22, and would not look large or out of place within the area. Loss of privacy and overlooking would be minimal with the proposal as no. 24 has a single storey rear extension on the boundary with no windows. The proposal would project slightly further than that of no. 24, but it would be of no detrimental impact, as there is a 2metre boundary fence. With regards to the first floor extension, there would be minimal loss of privacy as there are no windows in the proposed side elevation and an obscure window to the front elevation. To the rear 1no. bedroom window would be created, which would be of no impact. The orientation is southeast facing, and therefore loss of light would be minimal. 09/01/2006 |
