The property is a semi detached red brick house, in the centre of Longridge. The proposal is for a concrete sectional garage on land opposite the house, where the gardens are situated. The garage will be 6.2metres wide 6.3metre long and 3.2metres high at the highest point. The garage will replace an existing garage, which is in a dilapidated state, and approximately a similar size. The proposal will have no windows, and will not cause an overlooking impact to any neighbouring properties. There will be minimal loss of light caused as there is a garage existing and the proposal will replace the original. There is existing landscaping to reduce any impact to any neighbouring gardens. The design of the proposal is acceptable being brick facing to the front elevation and concrete panell to the side and rear. There are existing garages on the gardens, and this proposal would cause no detrimental feature to the surrounding area. 27/02/2006 |
